Provided in person only. Please bring the following verifications.

  1. Proof of Physical Address
    (NTUA Bill, Insurance Card, Lease Agreement)
  2. Photo ID (Drivers License, Passport, School ID)
  3. Voter’s Registration Card
    (Or having Name on Active Voter List)
  4. Fee of $2.12 for Registered Voters ($2.00 a page, plus the Navajo Nation Tax.) For Non-Registered Voters Fee $3.18
  5. Please have the correct change.
Voter’s Registration
  • All documents have to have the same name.
  • Photo ID (Drivers License, State ID)
  • Social Security Card
  • Certificate of Indian Blood
  • To change name (marriage license, court documents)

SUMMER Youth Employment Program (SYEP)

PURPOSE: The purpose of the Summer Youth Employment Program Policies and Procedures is to provide guidance to the Chapters in administering funds for temporary employment for yourger chapter membership.

Winter SYEP is schedule to begin on December 21, 2026 to December 31, 2026.

OPEN for application on Monday, November 23, 2026 and close on Tuesday, December 8, 2026 at 5:00 PM (MST).

Application is available at the San Juan Chapter house office.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATING

A. For eligibility, the participant must be:

1. A member of the Navajo Nation with a census number;

2. Between the ages of 14 to 25;

3. Enrolled in a high school, college, university, vocational or technical instituton;

4. Unemployed at the time of applying;

5. Returning to high school, college, university, vocational or technical institution within six (6) months of applying, and willing to provide supporting documents;

6. In possessin of a Social Security Card;

7. Not expelled or on probationary status from high school, college, university, vocational, or technical institution; and

8. Parent or guardian must be a registered member of the Chapter. Verification shall be made by the current voter registration list provided by the Navajo Nation Election Office.

B. The participant must submit:

1. Employment Application;

2. A copy of the applicants Social Security Card.

      • June 1, 2026, Monday is Navajo Nation Holiday the Chapter will be closed.
      • June 2, 2026, Tuesday at 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. “New Mexico State Election Day” near by Polling place is at the Nenahnezad Chapter House.
      • June 4, 2026, Thursday at 6:00 PM is the COMMUNITY PLANNING MEETING.
      • June 5, 2026, Friday at 10:00 AM San Juan Chapter is hosting the Budget and Finance Public Hearing.
      • June 7, 2026, Sunday at 2:00 PM is the COMMUNITY REGULAR CHAPTER MEETING.
      • June 8, 2026, Monday to June 18, 2026, Thursday SYEP last day.
      • June 18, 2026, Thursday at 4:00 PM is the CLUB-C Meeting at the San Juan Chapter House.
      • June 19, 2026, Friday is Navajo Nation Holiday the Chapter will be closed.
      • June 5, 2026, Sunday is Father’s Day.
      • June 25, 2026, Thursday Navajo Nation Election Registration close for the primary election. 
      • June 26, 2026, Friday at 10:00 AM is the Grazing Permittee Meeting at San Juan Chapter House.
      • June 27 and 28, 2026, Saturday and Sunday starting at 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, San Juan Chapter is hosting the REZ VET clinic. 

Student Financial Assistance:

2026 FALL Semester: Open for financial assistant in July 2026.

2027 Spring Semester is CLOSED.

Voter Registration:

Voter registration is now Open to register for the Navajo Nations Primary Election.

Documents to bring with you are as follows:

1. Driver’s License/ID

2. Social Security Card

3. Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB)

 Our Chapter House parking lot is open to our Students, Faculty Members, and those Community Members who need internet. This FREE Wi-Fi hot spot was put up with our students in mind. All we ask is that you please be mindful while on the premises.
